Hugh McColl
started his working life as an apprentice mechanic before
joining the Forces as a Recovery Mechanic in the Royal
Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, where he served for 6
years.
Upon leaving the Army, Hugh moved on to working for a Garden
Services company gaining much valuable experience in
landscaping, ground works and fencing.
Hugh then moved to work for Scottish Water. Initially Hugh was
working on drainage jobs (repairing, clearing drains, pumps
etc.) and then moved onto clean water contracts (repair and
maintenance of water services and water mains). He
eventually gained promotion to Site Manager, and was
responsible for overseeing Sub-Contractors carrying out work
for Scottish Water. he remained there for 12 years.
Hugh then worked for Alfred McAlpine Infrastructure Services
as a Site Manager before deciding to take the plunge and make
Playa Blanca his new home. |

Mary McColl
has over 17 years experience within the Hotel and Contract
Cleaning Industry.
Starting her career as a room attendant, Mary moved onwards
and upwards to become one of the most highly respected
Housekeeping Managers in Perthshire.
Mary can also list on her CV the prestigious Gleneagles Hotel
where she was the Contract Manager for the resident Contract
Cleaning company. Mary's experience also took her into the
Nursing Home sector where she was a Housekeeping and
facilities Manager.
Mary's overall experience within the Industry has been put to
good use as she has also overseen 3 major refurbishment
programs in the Hotels and Nursing home where she was
employed. No mean feat, as anyone who has overseen a major
refurbishment can testify.
Mary was also a member of the 'British Housekeepers
